Our story begins with a family business.
CCLIO founder, Michelangelo Mondino, was born into a family passionate about cars. His father, Massimo Mondino, was a master technician that specialized in European classic cars. Naturally, this drew him into the car world at an early age. From oil changes to full engine restorations, he’s been around and studied some of the finest cars in the world.
While learning the ins and outs of the business, one vital aspect stood out to him. The importance of documentation. Often overlooked by many in the industry at the time, Michelangelo’s father made it a point to keep impeccable records. “Work orders, photos of work done, and historical documents were critical for not only the client, but the car’s story,” he was told by his father. And , with time and experience, he found that those words couldn’t be truer.
But ,of course, there were challenges with the very nature of documents and the documenting process. Over time he found multiple clients requesting new printouts or files to be sent due to damage over time, loss, or even simply forgetting to take their paperwork with them after the service. This sparked a question. What if a client could access their information anytime, anywhere without the worry of losing or damaging documents?
Thus, CCLIO was born.
